What does a videoconference cost?

The costs of a video conference comprise of:
1. Room hire per hour, this varies with the location and whether the interview is in or out of office hours
2. Scheduling fee - £50/$75 per meeting

Here are some examples of meetings we have arranged.

Example 1
A company had a vacancy for a high level position. The best suited candidate lives in Australia. Eyenetwork booked a videolink room in Perth for a 1 hour interview. The total cost was just £150.

Example 2
A major accounting firm wanted to headhunt a woman in Japan. We were able to find a video conference bureau within 5 minutes walk of her office in Tokyo. She had the interview during a lunch break and was offered the position. The total cost was £200.

Example 3
The Executive Search company is asked by their client to contact 3 well known people in a particular realm of research. All three are happy to speak to be interviewed but do not want to spend time travelling.

They contact Eyenetwork. We hire the video link facilities in the USA, Canada and China. The total cost is £470.

Example 4
A company has a vacancy for a high level position. The best candidates are around the globe. The Senior Executive wants to spend only 1 day interviewing and wants to limit the expense. There are 6 people who are highly suitable.

The recruitment consultant contacts Eyenetwork and together we arrange all 7 interviews within UK office hours thus:

Each video conference interview last 45 minutes and the interview panel have a 15 minute break in between to assess and make notes.

As the UK company has its own equipment the total cost of the video conference was: £1,035.

Two candidates were called for a second interview – costing a total of £310.
